Description

A silver metal and epoxied shield shaped device 1 1/4 inch (3.18cm) in height blazoned as follows: Argent, a bend Sanguine, overall a Caduceus Argent (Silver). Attached to sides of the shield, a Blue scroll inscribed FIGHT TO VICTORY in Silver.



Symbolism

The colors white and maroon are associated with Dental Health Activities and the Caduceus is indicative of medical aid. The motto scroll is colored blue to signify III Corps which is headquartered at Fort Hood.


Background

The distinctive unit insignia for Dental Health Activity, Fort Hood was originally approved on 1 October 2016. The distinctive unit insignia was amended to correct the motto on 13 September 2019. The insignia was redesignated for Dental Health Activity, Fort Cavazos on 11 October 2023.
